What we treat

Complex cases are our specialty

We don't ask you to arrive with a clean diagnosis. Many of our patients don't have one. What they have is a body that isn't working the way it should — and a history of being told it should be.

These are the most common reasons patients find Dr. A. If you don't see your condition listed, that doesn't mean we can't help — it means a conversation is the right place to start.

Chronic Pain

Neck pain, back pain, joint pain, nerve pain, and discomfort that persists long after the original injury should have healed. When pain outlasts its cause, something upstream is still driving it.

The root cause approach

Chronic pain frequently has both a structural component and a nervous system component. Tissue can heal while pain signaling continues. Treating only one side of that is one of the most common reasons pain keeps returning.

Migraines and Headaches

Recurring headaches, migraine with or without aura, light and sound sensitivity, and headaches that have increased in frequency or stopped responding to medication.

The root cause approach

Migraines are a neurological event, not just a head problem. Contributing factors may include neurological, structural, metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, and dietary components. The evaluation is designed to identify which apply to you specifically.

Vertigo, Dizziness and Balance Disorders

Vertigo and spinning sensations, lightheadedness, unsteadiness while walking, motion sensitivity, visual dizziness in busy environments, and symptoms that worsen with head position.

The root cause approach

Balance depends on the inner ear, the eyes, the body's position sense, cerebellar input, and the brain's ability to integrate all of them together. A problem in any one — or in the integration itself — can produce dizziness. Identifying which is involved determines what treatment will actually work.

Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury

Post-concussion symptoms, TBI recovery that has stalled, headaches after injury, brain fog, light and sound sensitivity, mood changes, sleep disruption, and symptoms that persist weeks, months, or years after the original injury.

The root cause approach

Loss of consciousness is not required to have a traumatic brain injury. Brain barrier function is often compromised after impact, and many systems can begin dysregulating in a cascade. Dr. A evaluates every area of brain function to find where the breakdown is and what it will take to restore it.

Anxiety, Brain Fog, Focus and Mood

Difficulty concentrating, mental fatigue, word-finding difficulty, memory concerns, feeling overwhelmed, sensory sensitivity, anxiety, low mood, and sleep that doesn't restore.

The root cause approach

These symptoms are frequently signs of brain inflammation — and brain inflammation has identifiable causes. Neurological function, metabolic health, blood sugar regulation, hormones, sleep, infection burden, and nervous system dysregulation all play a role. We work alongside mental health providers rather than in place of them.

Autoimmune and Neurodegenerative Conditions

Autoimmune disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, celiac disease, chronic infections, mold and biotoxin illness, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and complex neurological conditions.

The root cause approach

We do not claim to cure or reverse these conditions. Our work focuses on identifying contributing factors — inflammation, infection, metabolic imbalance — addressing them directly, and supporting function and quality of life alongside existing medical care. We work with your other providers, not instead of them.

Fatigue, Hormones and Metabolic Health

Persistent fatigue, waking unrested, energy crashes, weight changes, temperature sensitivity, low libido, irregular cycles, digestive discomfort, food sensitivities, and difficulty recovering from exertion.

The root cause approach

Fatigue is one of the least specific symptoms in medicine, which is exactly why it goes unresolved for so long. Thyroid, adrenal, blood sugar, gut health, inflammation, hormones, sleep, and chronic infection can each produce it — and they frequently occur together.

Sports Injury and Recovery

Acute sports injury, recurring injury in the same location, concussion and return to play, post-surgical recovery, movement compensation patterns, and recovery that has plateaued.

The root cause approach

An injury changes how you move, and the nervous system adapts around it. Those adaptations often persist long after the tissue has healed — which is why the same injury keeps returning, or a recovery stops progressing.

Looking across systems

A list of conditions is where we start, not where we stop.

We look at the brain, nervous system, gut, hormones, immunity, and structure together. The condition that brought you here is the starting point of that conversation, not the end of it.

In a complex case, the answer is almost never in just one of them.

You don't need a diagnosis to come here

A significant number of Dr. A's patients arrive without one. They have a folder of normal test results, a list of symptoms that don't fit a single category, and a history of being told that nothing is wrong.

Our evaluation looks at systems together rather than one at a time. That approach sometimes reveals connections that separate specialists — each focused on their own area — haven't had reason to consider.

If you don't have a diagnosis, we'll work toward one. If you have one that doesn't fully explain what you're experiencing, we'll look further.

Every patient and condition is unique. Nothing on this page is intended as a diagnosis or a guarantee of any particular outcome. We recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss your specific situation.

Not sure where you fit?

Most people aren't. A consultation is the place to start — we'll figure out together whether we're the right fit for what you're dealing with.
