The Ambridge Approach
We find the root. Then we heal the whole.
Most medicine is built around the symptom. We're built around the cause. That single difference changes everything about how we evaluate, how we treat, and what's possible for the people who come to us.
Why symptoms keep coming back
The standard medical model is organized around efficiency. You describe a symptom. The doctor matches it to a treatment. You leave with a prescription or a referral.
That system works well for a lot of things. It works poorly for complex, chronic, or unexplained conditions — because those conditions rarely have a single, obvious cause that fits neatly into a fifteen-minute appointment.
When a symptom keeps returning, or never fully resolves, it usually means something upstream hasn't been found yet. A treatment that only addresses the symptom itself can provide temporary relief while the underlying driver continues unchecked.
Dr. A's work starts where that model runs out of answers.

One connected system
The body doesn't work in isolation. It doesn't fail in isolation either.
The brain talks to the gut. The gut influences immunity. Immunity affects inflammation. Inflammation shapes how the nervous system functions. The nervous system governs how everything else operates.
A patient with chronic fatigue may have a thyroid problem, a gut imbalance, a neuroinflammatory component, and a sleep disruption — all connected, all making each other worse. Treating any one of them alone is why so many patients cycle through providers without getting better.
In a complex case, the pattern only becomes visible when you look at the whole picture at once.
What we look at together
Most clinics evaluate one or two of these. Evaluating them together, in a single integrated assessment, is what makes the difference.
-
Brain and Nervous System
Brain function, neurological communication, balance and coordination, eye movement, sensory processing, cognitive performance, and the full spectrum of neurological conditions including TBI, concussion, dementia, MS, vertigo, and stroke.
-
Structure and Movement
Alignment, joint function, movement quality, muscle balance, and the mechanical contributors to pain and dysfunction.
-
Metabolism and Hormones
Blood sugar regulation, energy production, thyroid and adrenal function, and hormone balance.
-
Inflammation and Immunity
Autoimmune activity, chronic inflammation, and immune dysregulation that conventional panels often miss.
-
Infection Burden
Chronic infections, mold, and biotoxin exposure that can drive symptoms for years without a clear diagnosis.
-
Lifestyle and Environment
Nutrition, sleep, stress, movement patterns, environmental exposures, and the full health history that tells us how you got here.
What we do
Specialized care, connected by one clinical method.
Functional neurology leads the work. Testing, rehabilitation, functional medicine, naturopathic care, and IV therapy are considered in relation to the individual — not offered as disconnected protocols.
-
Functional Neurology
Detailed neurological assessment paired with individualized movement, eye, balance, sensory, and manual inputs selected to support nervous-system function.
-
Neurological Rehabilitation
Targeted, neuroplasticity-informed exercises designed around the specific functions identified during examination and reassessment.
-
Functional Medicine
A root-cause investigation of the metabolic, hormonal, and systemic factors that may be contributing to persistent symptoms.
-
Naturopathic Care
Evidence-informed natural therapies selected to work with the body's healing systems and integrate with neurological care.
-
Advanced Testing
Neurological, balance, eye-movement, sensory, motor, metabolic, and functional testing selected according to each person's history and presentation.
-
IV Nutrient Therapy
Clinician-guided intravenous nutrient options considered only after reviewing health history, medications, testing, goals, and individual suitability.
How we work
Every patient at Ambridge Clinic receives care that draws from three integrated levels. Most people need more than one.
-

Advanced brain and nervous system assessment and treatment. This is where Dr. A's chiropractic neurology training comes to bear.
Chiropractic neurology · neurological rehabilitation · balance and coordination therapy · concussion recovery
-
Functional Care
A deep investigation into the metabolic, immune, hormonal, and inflammatory factors driving chronic conditions.
Advanced lab testing · metabolic and autoimmune assessment · gut and infection evaluation · hormone and nutrition strategy
-
Restorative Care
Advanced therapies to support tissue healing, regeneration, and long-term resilience.

What to expect
What the process looks like
-
Consultation
A conversation longer than you're used to. Dr. A wants to understand your full history — not just the current symptoms, but everything that led here.
-
Evaluation
Comprehensive neurological, structural, and functional assessment. Advanced testing when warranted.
-
Your Plan
A treatment strategy built around what we actually found — not a protocol pulled off the shelf.
-
Ongoing Care
Long-term healing takes time. Dr. A works with you through the process, adjusting the plan as your body responds.
You may be exactly who we help most
If you've been to the specialists.
If you've tried the medications.
If you've been told your results are normal but nothing feels normal.
If you have a diagnosis that explains the label but not the cause.
If you've been told there's nothing more to be done.
That is a starting point we work with every day. Many of Dr. A's patients arrive without a clear diagnosis at all. What they share is a history of not being found yet. The evaluation is designed to change that.
