Getting started

What happens at my first visit?

A comprehensive intake and neurological and functional evaluation, with possible treatment intervention depending on what we find.

How long is the first appointment?

30 to 75 minutes depending on complexity. If we need more time, we take it.

What should I bring?

Prior medical records, recent imaging and labs, a list of current medications and supplements, completed intake forms, and a pair of shorts for the physical evaluation.

Do I need a referral?

No.

Do you need a diagnosis?

No. Many of Dr. A's patients arrive without one. We will work toward identifying what's driving your symptoms.

How soon can I be seen?

Generally within 3 to 10 days depending on your flexibility.

Insurance and cost

Do you accept insurance?

We don't bill insurance directly. We provide all documentation needed for self-submission, including a superbill. Medicare is the exception: it is billed directly from our office.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes.

How much does the initial evaluation cost?

Between $225 and $495 depending on complexity.

What about lab testing?

Dr. A has access to a physician co-op with significantly reduced lab pricing. A comprehensive panel that typically costs over $2,000 through insurance is often available for $170 to $200 through the co-op. We'll discuss all options before ordering anything.

Do you offer payment plans?

Not currently.

About Dr. A's care

What is chiropractic neurology?

A board-certified specialty focused on evaluating and improving how the brain and nervous system function — without drugs or surgery. Where standard chiropractic focuses on the spine and joints, chiropractic neurology looks at the entire nervous system: balance, coordination, eye movement, cognitive function, and how the brain and body are communicating. Dr. A holds Diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Neurology Board.

Do you do traditional adjustments?

Yes, where appropriate. Dr. A uses a range of techniques including manual and low-force approaches.

Is treatment painful?

No.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your case. Dr. A will discuss a realistic timeline at the evaluation.

Do you work with my other doctors?

Yes. Dr. A coordinates with any providers involved in your care.

Will you tell me to stop my medication?

No. Dr. A always works in your best interest and in collaboration with the practitioners managing your medications.
